2025  Renewals

Rates

Your subscription for 2025 becomes due on 1 January 2025. The current rates are:

• UK Membership (hard copy of the Newsletter) £15.00 

• Overseas Membership (hard copy of the Newsletter) £18.50 

• Electronic Membership (PDF Newsletter) £15.00 UK or Overseas

It is a great help to the Society if members can renew subscriptions promptly, without reminders having to be sent. 

You do not need to renew your subscription now if:

• You pay your subscription by Standing Order, but please make sure that your bank will be paying the correct amount.

• You renewed or joined in 2024 and paid via the CFHS website.Your subscription will be automatically renewed. We will send you an email advising you of this at least ten days before the renewal date (1 January 2025). If you do not wish your subscription to be automatically renewed, please let us know (membership@cumbriafhs.com) as soon as possible.

• You joined the Society after 30 September 2024 and paid via Parish Chest. The subscription you paid then will run to 31 December 2025
  
  

Electronic Membership 

Much of the Society’s expenditure is taken up by postage, and increasingly so as rates increase. If you are able to do so, please consider switching to Electronic Membership. You will be able to read your Newsletter earlier, and it will help the planet slightly by reducing paper and printing. If you are an Overseas Member, you would also make a saving of £3.50. To switch membership type, please inform membership@cumbriafhs.com

Payment Options

We have recently changed our IT systems, but you will still be able to renew your subscription by the same method that you used last time.

Direct Debit

If you joined or renewed during 2024 using the previous version of the website, your subscription will renew automatically on 1 January each year with no action needed by you. We will send you an email shortly as a confirmation, if this is your situation.

Standing Order

If you have previously set this up, this will again happen automatically. If you have not yet amended the amount to the new subscription rate, please do so as soon as possible, and ensure your name and membership number is in the bank reference.

Credit/Debit Card

If you wish to pay online using a credit/debit card please use our trusted partner, Parish Chest (accessed via the panel on this page. Payment by Parish Chest will not auto-renew in future years. You do not have to wait for 1 January to use this method. If you joined via Parish Chest after 30 September 2024, you do not have to pay again for 2025.

If you have a UK bank account, you can make payment directly to our bank.

Cheque

If you are unable to pay by Bank Transfer or online, you can send a cheque (although this will incur bank charges for the Society). Please send with a completed renewal form to
